Rodgers started out as a cover band in 2003, covering mostly Jimmie Rodgers, thus the name. An acoustic package with fiddle, mandolin, doublebass.

The band started working with their own material in 2006, getting electrified. Some yodeling came along.

Left from the Jimmie Rodgers-coverband was singer Dag Rønning and guitarist Truls Lorentzen. During the next two years they were joined with: Trine Snustad (vocals), Tom K. Alte (drums) Helge F. Guldvik (guitars), John Grøtting (bass), Erik Chan (trombone), Frode Rystad (trumpet), Audun Kvam (percussion++) and Michi S. Murakami (violin).

Zoot Horn Rollo having babies to the sound of Hawkind smashing hotel furniture. J. Biafra yodeling like a pig, something between Maddy Prior and Iris Dement glues it up. J.J. Burnel bass, comes with a carribean blowjob. Acoustic motor, half asian violin and violent percussion. Shouting, almost in tune.
